Member since 2013
Dr. John Lilley, MD FRCP (C), is a Co-Chair of a community group called Pregnancy Pathways which seeks housing and service solutions for the 100 homeless and pregnant women who deliver each year in Edmonton. He is also the Chair of the Edmonton YMCA Foundation and was a previous member of the board of the YMCA of Edmonton. He chaired the YMCA Welcome Village Capital Campaign from 2010 to 2013.
Dr. Lilley retired as an anesthesiologist from the Royal Alexandra Hospital in 2013. He is a founder of the Alberta Charity Support Network and the Canadian Association of Medical Teams Abroad. Dr. Lilley and his wife, Eileen, travelled to Ecuador annually for 15 years with a team of health care workers to provide orthopedic surgery to the poor. Their experience of poverty in Ecuador has motivated them to help children and families in Edmonton break the generational cycle of poverty.
Dr. Lilley served as Vice Chair of the Edmonton Police Commission in 2016.
