Suzanne Polkosnik is the Vice-President of Representational Services for Legal Aid Alberta. Previously, Suzanne served as the Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for EPCOR Utilities Inc. In this role, Suzanne was responsible for managing the Legal Department, advising the executive and board on a wide variety of issues including governance, corporate legal issues and compliance related matters. She was also the Director of American Water Integration with EPCOR, a role that brought a large water utility acquisition to a successful close, and served as the Chief Compliance Officer for the organization. Prior to EPCOR, Suzanne practiced in the areas of labour and employment, administrative law and privacy law at Brownlee LLP. Suzanne also has experience as a criminal defense lawyer and has worked as an independent consultant providing legal and management advice to organizations in the areas of compliance and ethics, employment matters and corporate governance. She currently sits on the Board of the HUMA Swim Club.
