Join us at our Thursday, February 16, public meeting as Dr. Sandy Jung, Associate Professor with MacEwan University’s Department of Psychology, presents her research on reported sexual assaults against persons 16 years and older in Edmonton. Working closely with the Edmonton Police Service, Dr. Jung compiled data from 2010-2014 and reached several conclusions that will be shared at the meeting.
Other items on the agenda include:
- Online reporting update: Since 2013, citizens have been able to report several types of crime online, allowing EPS to devote resources to other more severe and time sensitive incidents and criminal activity. This update shares statistics over the years and future development of the online reporting tool.
- Annual Policing Plan (APP) fourth quarter report: The 2016 APP was developed to respond to community needs and expectations, organizational priorities, and emerging trends. It includes 23 public initiatives, each of which are assigned “on target” or “off target” designations.
